Some years ago I started making furniture for a friend who owned an Interior Design shop. This progressed to my making furniture for a number of friends and for my family. This furniture making has always been a hobby but I have attempted to make the best quality pieces that I can. I enjoy machining traditional joints such as dovetails or mortice and tenon joints, but I also sometimes use a more modern method such as Domino joints. A lot of my work is made with traditional raised panels in a carcass. I have made a variety of items including many bookcases, beds, chest of drawers, cupboards for bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchens, HiFi units, linen boxes, small tables and storage units. I work with Oak, Ash, Maple and Poplar wood.
